Amazon’s History with Cyber Monday
In 2005, Amazon launched its first Cyber Monday event. The online shopping holiday was created to encourage shoppers to buy items online the Monday after Thanksgiving. Since then, Amazon has continued to grow its Cyber Monday sales, making it one of the biggest shopping days of the year.
Amazon’s three-day Cyber Monday shopping event is now in its 14th year. The event offers customers great deals on millions of items across all departments, including electronics, toys, fashion, and home goods.
Last year, Amazon Prime members saved an average of $100 during the three-day event. This year, Prime members will have access to even more deals thanks to early access to some deals starting on Saturday afternoon.
