More About Amazon
Amazon began as a fledgling online bookstore in 1995, decades before it grew into the e-commerce behemoth it is today. The Seattle-based company grew quickly under Jeff Bezos' leadership, amassing millions of dollars in revenue by the end of the following year. By 1999, Amazon's product line had expanded to include toys, electronics, tools, and CDs.
Amazon is now the world's largest online retailer, with over 12 million products in every category imaginable, ranging from clothing and beauty to electronics and outdoor gear. The retailer sells its own devices, such as Echo devices, Kindles, and Fire TVs. Amazon also provides grocery delivery from Whole Foods, which it purchased in 2017, as well as its own food store, AmazonFresh.
